After reviewing the history of the pioneer days of the Brethren in Christ (Tunker) Church written by George Cober I will say he has given some valuable information for our enlightenment. It took the writer considerable time, effort and expense to gather this material.

While it goes back much farther than my limited knowledge of former days, yet from what I remember and what has been told me it is authentic. It gives us a fair over-all picture of former days.

Most of these early leaders were pillars in the church. They upheld by precept and example the faith once, delivered to the saints.
